Julia Fulton Midden, 71, of Georgetown, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Georgetown Community Hospital.
Born in Goddard on July 21, 1953, her father was the late Edward Muse and her mother was the late Geneva Henderson Muse.
Julia worked as a registered nurse for 43 years, working at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Saint Claire Regional in Morehead, and Meadowview Regional in Maysville. She was Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control. Not only was she a mother, a wife, a nurse, and a nursing educator, she was a woman with a servant's heart who strived to help people.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Pete Midden; her four children, Robert (wife Michele) Fulton, Chris (wife Robin) Fulton, Daniel (wife Shannon) Midden, and Heather (husband Jeff) Fryman; her six grandchildren, Garrett (Allison), Zeth (Haley), Wesley, Taylor, Sara, and Parker; along with one great grandchild, Sam. She is also survived by four of her siblings, Bernice (husband Edward) Plummer, Wayne (wife Rhonda) Muse, Stevie (Terri Davenport) Muse, and Sandy Sagraves.
In addition to her father Edward and her mother Geneva, Julia was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Fulton; and three of her siblings, Tommy Muse, Jennie Dugan, and Buddy Muse.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Doughton officiating. The service will open with The Nightingale Tribute: Remembering a Nurse.
Julia will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Garrett, Zeth, Wesley, Ricky Sagraves, and Patrick Muse.
Visitation will be 12 noon, until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
