Julia O'Connor of Stony Point, NY, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2024, at home with her family by her side at the age of 91. Julia was born in the Harlem, NY to the late Joseph and Margaret McCarthy(Davey) on May 6th, 1933. On February 2nd, 1957, she married Daniel O'Connor and moved to Stony Point, NY where they raised their three children. Julia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Julia was a Cub Scout den mother for many years and liked to spend time traveling, especially cruises. She liked to spend her winters in Pompano Beach, Florida. Her grandchildren always looked forward to her Tuesday night dinners. Julia is survived by her children, Terry and Timmy O'Connor, grandchildren Jennifer (Chris) Gravius, and Danny and Kristen O'Connor. Julia is predeceased by her husband Daniel O'Connor, son Daniel O'Connor, sisters Barbara Jones, Margaret Bramswig, Rosemary Bottomley and Doris Johnson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 3-7 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 10 am at St. Margaret's Church, Pearl River, followed by interment at Gary Onderdonk Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Suffern, NY.
