Julia Margaret Radike, 91, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville, Ohio.

She was born on July 30, 1934, in London, England, the daughter of George Albert and Ivy Ruth (Simmons) King. Julia came to the United States in the early 1950s after meeting her first husband, Dan Swann, while he was stationed in England during the Korean War.

Julia worked as a secretary for Dunne Plastics before becoming the owner and operator of Edgewood Ceramic Studio. As a certified ceramic instructor, she shared her creativity and skills with many students over the years. She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Senior Center and the Humane Society, where she helped rescue countless animals. Julia had a lifelong love for her pets, especially her cat, Shadow, and her puppy, Suki. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Julia was a gifted ballroom dance instructor in the 1950s, remembered for the joy and elegance she brought to the dance floor.

Julia is survived by her children, Greg Swann of Ashtabula, with whom she made her home; Kristina Kaydo of Euclid; and Michele (Bill Olsen) Young of Navarre, FL; her son-in-law, Tim Blough of Jefferson; seven grandchildren, Belinda (Mike) Lynch, Jeffery Ernst, Danielle (Alan) Ernst-Barkley, April (Jimmy Goodman) Rock, Kenny Blough, Lindsey (Patrick) Reardon, and Janelle Swann; as well as many dear great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dan Swann; her second husband, Donald Radike; her daughter, Debbie Blough; and her son-in-law, Howard Young.

A private service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, where Julia will be laid to rest with her husband, Donald Radike.
