Julia A. Robbins, 79, of Gloversville, New York passed away January 18, 2026. She was born on October 31, 1946 in Gloversville, New York to Leicester and Bettye (LaRowe) Fosmire.

Julia was a graduate of Gloversville High School class of 1964. She earned her Masters degree from SUNY Oneonta and had a teaching career that spanned 34 1/2 years until her retirement in 2002.

Julia was a woman of strong faith, she was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Tribes Hill for many years. She was very active in her community, and loved volunteering for her church as well as for any cause related to education or Autism awareness, which held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Julia was a truly sweet, kind soul who will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Julia is survived by her children Nicholas (Sarah) Robbins and Sherry (Eric) Hurd; brother Frank "Fuzzy" Fosmire; sister Sue Whitman; and grandchildren Alex, Jordan, Aidan, Addie, Eric, Anaya, Derek and Christopher.

In addition to her parents, Julia was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Gary in 2021, as well as her son Christopher and grandson Makai.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Julia's name may be made to the Makai Wilkinson Scholarship fund, 71 Porter Hollow Road Port Crane, NY 13833 or Venmo @MakaiWilkinsonScholarshipFund.

The family has chosen to remember Julia's life privately at this time, and a graveside service will take place in the spring at a date to be announced. Julia and Gary will be laid to rest together in the Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery.
