Wenham - Julia Ann (Laroe) Robichau of Wenham, 85, passed peacefully on July 30, 2022. She rejoined her beloved husband and dance partner, Paul Robichau, with whom she spent 63 years on Earth. She was born in Beverly to the late Dr. Frank Wood Laroe, Jr. and Doris (Cunningham) Laroe.
Julia started her career at Beverly National Bank in 1958 filing cancelled checks in the basement. After having her children, she returned to the bank as Secretary to the President and stayed with the bank rising to the position of Vice President and Cashier until her retirement at age 62. In addition to her lifelong service at the bank, Julia participated in and chaired many committees and boards for local civic organizations including Beverly United Way, The United Way of the North Shore, North Shore Chamber of Commerce, Beverly Hospital, The Wenham Museum, Wenham Finance Committee and several more. She received the B'Nai B'rith Person of the Year honors in 1992 where family, friends and peers celebrated her extensive civic service accomplishments. Julia was an avid golfer and a member at both Wenham and Rowley Country Clubs.
Julia is survived by two loving daughters, Lauren Seaverns and her husband Garry of Hamilton, Emily Hayes Brock and her husband Peter of Kingston, N.H.; a brother, Frank Wood Laroe III and his wife Joyce of Danvers; two granddaughters, Ally Dugan and her wife Alexandra Souris of Salem, Mass., Hope Seaverns of Berwick, Maine; and three grandsons, James Turner III of Hamilton, Cambron and Connor Hayes of Kingston, N.H. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorna Lieberman.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday August 8th, from 12:30 to 2:00 followed by a service at 2:00 at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Wenham Museum, 132 Main Street, Wenham, MA 01984. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
