Julia Ann Scott King

Julia Ann (Scott) King, known fondly as Julie to her friends and family, passed away May 13, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Austin Texas on July 17, 1958, the same city that would witness her final days.
Julia's early years were spent in the nurturing environment of Kyle, TX, where she graduated from Jack C. Hays High School in 1976. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue further education at Southwest Texas State, where she completed her studies in 1980. Julia's commitment to service was evident in her choice of profession as she became a Registered Nurse, a role she dedicated herself to at Hendrick Medical Center from 1981 to 2003. Her compassionate nature shone through in her care for her patients, earning her the respect and affection of both colleagues and those she served.
After two decades in nursing, Julia transitioned to a role that combined her love for animals and her medical skills, working as a Groomer and Veterinary Technician at Fayette County Vet Clinic from 2004 until her passing in 2025. Her gentle touch and kind words soothed many a pet and pet owner alike, leaving a legacy of kindness within the clinic that will be remembered for years to come. Julia had a lifelong love of horses, dogs, and cats, and she was happiest at home on the family farm in Creedmoor with all her animals.
Julia was proceeded in death by her mother Martha J. Scott and her father Robbie H. Scott.
Survivors include her sons Jonathan King and wife Tabitha, Kyle King and wife Morgan. Her brothers Craig Scott and wife Burnell, Wesley Scott and wife Shannon, and Hal Scott and wife Debbie. 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. As well as 9 nieces and nephews.
Her faith played a significant role in her life, and she was (deeply) heavily involved in her church community. As a devout Christian, Julia's life was a living example of her faith, and she touched the lives of many through her involvement in various church activities.
Julia's interests were not just limited to her immediate circles; she was always eager to attend family events, reveling in the happiness of watching her family grow and flourish. Her presence at these gatherings was a source of comfort and delight, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Julia would describe her as loving, faith-filled, and incredibly kind. She approached life with a heart full of grace and a spirit of generosity that knew no bounds. Julia's unwavering kindness and her capacity to love unconditionally will be cherished memories for all who were touched by her life.
As we bid farewell to Julia Ann Scott King, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and kindness that will continue to inspire and guide us. Julia's memory will be held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. She will be missed dearly, but the light she brought into this world will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she loved.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Creedmoor Community Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca, TX.
Serving as pallbearers are Hal Scott, Craig Scott, Wesley Scott, Jonathan King, Kyle King, and Hill Scott.
