Julia Sisson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 16, 2025.
Julia Kristine Sisson Atherton, 55, went home to be with her Lord on August 12, 2025. Born December 5, 1969, Julia was the beloved wife of Jason Patrick Atherton and a devoted mother, Grammie, and teacher. She lived her life with kindness, strength, and an unwavering faith, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Julia's life was a testament to love in action. She was always deeply involved in her children's lives, celebrating their victories, encouraging their passions, and guiding them toward their faith. She supported their dreams with a steady hand and an open heart. Beyond her own family, Julia was the person you could call at any hour-always ready to listen, to help, or simply to be there when someone needed her. Her warmth made others feel seen, her generosity made burdens lighter, and her faith inspired hope in the lives she touched. She is survived by her children Michelle Reneè Whalen, Alexander Glaze Atherton-Pham, Mary-Inez Sacra Atherton-Wise, and Zackariah Graham Atherton; her cherished sons- and daughters-in-law Michael Wayne Wise, Seth Michael Whalen, and Vivian Aibinh Atherton-Pham; and her treasured grandchildren Isabella Jean Whalen, George Michael Wise, Thomas Jason Wise, Emma Kristine Wise, and Olivia Aiyana Whalen. Julia's love, grace, and example will continue to inspire all who knew her.
