Julia Gail Wielinga, 78, of Hamilton, Ohio, was reunited with her Heavenly Father on October 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and embraced with love and prayer.
Judy was born on October 7, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Regina Spivey. A proud graduate of Garfield High School, Judy pursued her passion for caring for others by continuing her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She dedicated 27 years of her career to Mercy North Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and skill.
On April 22, 1966, Judy married the love of her life, James "Jim" Wielinga, and they shared 56 years of happy marriage, a true testament to their commitment to one another. Judy is survived by her loving children, James Michael (Shannon) Wielinga and Tracy (Shawn) Wright, and her five beloved grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride: Jenna and Daniel Wright, and Owen, Ally, and Maddie Wielinga. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jim, her brother, Daniel Spivey, and her parents.
Judy loved simple pleasures like indulging in a blueberry muffin with her coffee each morning, and a Klondike bar each evening during the Wheel of Fortune. Her firm belief that dessert was a mandatory part of each day was evident. She was an avid TV watcher, rarely missing an episode of her favorite game shows, including The Price is Right. She was captivated by many drama TV series, and would even watch them over again in their entirety. She also enjoyed attending live music events and singing along to the oldies. Her favorite place to be was under the gazebo on her back porch and in the Westover gathering place, where she could read, toss the ball for her beloved dog and best friend, Teddy, or share laughter and conversation with her cherished friends. Nothing brought her more happiness than family, especially gathering for celebrations, enjoying an evening out at Frisch's or LaRosas, and attending regular family dinner nights. Adding events to her calendar was one of her favorite things!
Everyone who knew Judy will remember her distinctive, big smile and laugh, and the unwavering love she had for her family.
