TAYLOR, Evelyn A. - Born on October 5, 1945, to the late Carl and Ruby (née Allman) Aulen, Evelyn passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 80. A resident of Liberty Township, she was the beloved wife of Mark A. Taylor.
Loving mother of Jennifer (Matt) Johnson and Geoffrey (Lisa) Sweeney-Taylor. Cherished grandmother of Nina and Miles Johnson, and Colin Sweeney-Taylor. Dear sister of Kenneth (Susan) Aulen, and devoted aunt of Amber and Scott Aulen. She enjoyed time with aunts, uncles, and cousins in her extended family.
Evelyn was a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) and Xavier University. She taught at CCU for 34 years, where she inspired countless students through her wisdom, compassion, grace, and love of learning. Many of them have praised her as their mentor, counselor, and encourager. Two times she was chosen by the student body as Teacher of the Year.
She served faithfully in the local church most of her life. During the more than 40 years she was a member of Christ's Church in Mason, Ohio, she taught children's Sunday school, led ladies Bible studies, served in the benevolence and welcome ministries, and worked as part-time front-desk receptionist.
A memorial visitation will be held at Christ's Church, 5165 Western Row Rd., Mason, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 5:30 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased for you to donate in her memory to Queen City Hospice or Christ's Church.
