Julian Tin Cho Chang Born on November 1, 1929 and returning home to his God and Savior on July 5, 2022. He lived a full 92 years and so much joy filled memories. Survived by sons: Jacob (Darlene), Michael (Stephanie), Christopher (Leialoha), Francis (Nina), Gregory (Alexandria); daughters Julie-Ann (Dartagnon), Catherine (Ivan), Malia (Michael), grandchildren (26), great-grandchildren (53), and great-great-grandchildren (9), his legacy lives on in us to share these moments. Julian was called Tin Cho or Timmy by his family, and his co-workers at Hawaiian Tel knew him as JC. He was born at 1555 Auld Lane to Caroline Phoebe (Kekuewa) Chang and Young "Aiona" Chang, Territory of Hawaii, city of Honolulu. He grew up on Leahi Street across from Paki Park with his parents and younger sister Harriet. He attended St. Augustine Catholic School then St. Louis School and College that set his foundation in a God based faith. His first job was with Mutual Telephone Company where learned the art of cable splicing. Throughout the years there were company name changes Hawaiian Telephone Company and GTE Hawaiian Tel, where he became an equipment installer on six major Hawaiian Islands in Hawaii. His favorite workplace was in Diamond Head Creator aka "Mount Leahi" at the Federal Aviation Administration. Serving the companies for 35 years, he retired in 1985, and enjoyed 37 years of retirement. In those 37 years he made innumerable acquaintances, young and old. He reconnected with family members, sharing and creating unforgettable moments near and far. I can recall many saying they would receive random calls from him just to say, "Hi, how you doing?" This was his personal trademark that made him special to everyone.. Celebrating "A Moment In Time'', we have services on three islands where he shared wholesome memories. Hawaii Island St Theresa Catholic Church, Friday November 4, 2022. Molokai Our Lady of Seven Sorrow Catholic Church, Friday, November 11, 2022 Oahu St Augustine Catholic Church By the Sea.
