Juliann Arnold, affectionately known as Mom "Ju-Ju," "Aunt Dee Dee," "Sissy," or "Auntie," passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 63. A resident of Mount Clemens for more than twenty-five years, Juliann will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her.
Born on June 1, 1962, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Juliann was the beloved daughter of Richard and Maryann (Paling) Barnes. Juliann was a Wife, Sister, Mother, Aunt and friend to many. She grew up in Shelby Township and graduated from Utica High School in 1981. Juliann went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in the medical field from Baker College.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Juliann owned and operated her own business, Juliann's Clean and Sweep, in Mount Clemens, where she faithfully served her community for ten years.
On February 19, 1994, she married the love of her life, David Arnold, at Christ Lutheran Church. Together they shared twenty-five wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Kind, giving, loving, and accepting are just a few words that describe Juliann. She was known for her devout Lutheran faith and her deep devotion to her family. Her biggest passion in life was her family. Juliann especially loved cooking for those she cared about, always taking the time to prepare everyone's favorite dish. She also volunteered her time as a cook, joyfully serving others in need.
Beyond her generosity, Juliann was known for her fondness for ladybugs and teddy bears. She loved talking about and even affectionately named her car "Bugsy."
Juliann is survived by her loving husband, David; her children, Nicholas and Elizabeth; her sister, Stephanie (Edward) Oswald; her adopted brother, Jamie (Barb) Wolz; her niece 2nd daughter, Rebecca (Dennis) Ward; nephews, Daniel and Carl (Julie) Barnes; and great-nieces and -nephews, Taylor, Morgan, Anthony, Alyssa, Leah, and HER beloved Aubree, and Bryson.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Juliann on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, located at 48271 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, MI 48317 (between 21 and 22 Mile Roads).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held the same day at 7:00 p.m., also at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel. In honor of her life and the love she shared, the family invites those attending to bring a dish to pass.
