Julie Ann Andrews, 47, of Griffin, GA, was finally healed and made new leaving her earthly body to be with the Lord on March 29, 2025, in Marietta. She was her father's daughter, a true spiritual warrior as proven until her last breath as she fought to stay for her children. She didn't care who you were because she knew who she was. Born to protect without a filter and a spirit to be reckoned with March 27, 1978, in Atlanta, GA, to George Pope Jr. (former boxer) and Judy Pope (warrior woman), was a strong, deeply devoted and independent extremely loved mother, grandmother, sister, niece, and friend. Julie loved the Lord and shared his love through her work with Manna from Above's Homeless Ministry, turning her home into the local hangout for kids or showing off her skills and keeping everyone all fed with exceptional soul food. She taught us all the power of God's earthy gifts whether it was the comfort from combining five ingredients with Crisco and chicken or the soul peaceful magic of water surrounded by trees or a warm breeze and the healing sounds of the ocean waves.
Her love for her children was unparalleled as she spent her life giving her children what she never had. Julie had a special bond with her grandchildren, whose presence brought a sparkle to her eyes during their time together. Her memories will live on forever and she be deeply missed. Julie is survived by her five children: Jaccob Pope, Kimberlynn Pearce and husband Kollin Pearce, Jaziah Colquitt and partner, Stephanie Westbrook, Kiersten Colquitt, and Kamden Colquitt; grandchildren: Kabriel Pearce, Zehlani Colquitt, Kennady Pearce, Zhalil Colquitt, adopted grandchildren Anastasia Spraggins and Karsyn Igarashi; sisters: Rhonda Nobles, April Pope, Dusty Cobb, and Cassidy Peck and husband Dustin Peck; nieces and nephews: Megan Nobles, Honesty Parker, Morgan Fontana, Ava Venegas, Hunter Pope, Noah Pope, Caiden Parker, Audrey Venegas, Journey Peck, Theodore Fontana, and Augustus Parker; aunts and uncle: Linda Haralson, Kim Salas, Donna Payne, Betty Pierce and husband Jose Aguilar, Regina Freeman, and Ricky Pierce. She was preceded in death by her parents: George Pope Jr. and Judy Pope; grandparents: Bobby and Edith Pierce, George Pope Sr. and Aileen Pope, and Uncle Tommy Pope Sr. Julie's Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King St. SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
