Julie Ann Cassiday Gowen, 21, entered into rest on July 12, 2025, at her home in Coe, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Julie was born in Tatui, Brazil on December 8, 2003.
Julie was an honorary cheerleader for Oakland City University and loved it very much. Other things in Julies life that she loved included her service dog, Duramax, bright colors, clowns, NASCAR racing, classic black and white TV shows, classical music, ice cream and cake icing. She also loved her brother and loved to hear her mom's voice. She loved her family dearly and will be truly missed by those who loved her.
Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Anabelle Gowen and Clifford and Mildred Cassiday, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie was survived by her parents, Bill and Pamela Gowen; her brother Mateus Gowen; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday July 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A service will take place on Wednesday July 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Tuffy Blackwell officiating, burial to follow at New Liberty Cemetery in Coe, Indiana.
