Julie Ann McKnight, born on May 5, 1958, in Jefferson County, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2025, in Durham, North Carolina, at the age of 67. Her journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication to her community and an infectious passion for making the world a brighter place.

Julie served as the Care & Community Director at Triad Health Project for over 14 years, where she poured her heart into her work with unyielding devotion. Her role allowed her to touch many lives, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.

A disciple of many talents and interests, Julie found joy in creating beautiful stained glass art, exploring new destination through her travels, and expressing love through the culinary arts. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life; she actively participated in community service work, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she served.

Julie was a integral part of the Triad community, being a member of the Triad Softball League, Triad Health Project, and the Second Harvest Food Bank. Her spirit of camaraderie and generosity uplifted everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Irma and Mack Cresswell. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving partner, Deborah Wade; her sister, Arlene Vandal; her nieces, Amy Thompson and Allison Dyer; her cousins, Jeff Currie, Janet Legev Dry, Beverly and Pamela Harvard Regan.

Julie attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where she cultivated a foundation for her lifelong dedication to learning and growth. She believed deeply in the goodness, love and kindness of others, leaving a legacy of compassion that continues to inspire those who knew her.

Though there is no public service planned at this time, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. The McKnight family is being assisted by Triad Cremation & Funeral Service.

Julie will be greatly missed and always deeply loved, remembered for a life lived in service of others and heart for of grace.
