Of Wilson, NY, passed into the home of the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 10, 1942, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Jule E. [Hayes] Carmody.
Julie graduated from Madonna High School in 1960 and also attended Niagara University.
She worked in the Athletic office at Niagara University for 15 years and later at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital for over 16 years, before retiring in 2006.
She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Virtuoso, who passed away in 2009, they were married in St. Mary's Church in 1964.
Julie is survived by two daughters Suzanne Burczyk and Rebecca Virtuoso, her grandchildren Savanna, Aiden, Jakin and Calix, siblings John [ Sharon ] Carmody and Christine [ Joseph ] Asterino, sister- in-law of John Graves and Gloria Carmody, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Patrick Carmody and Eileen Graves.
Her family will be present on Thursday, January 23rd from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Wilson Community Library.
Inurnment with her husband in St. Joseph Cemetery.
