Julie Marie Winkelman Weaver was born November 24, 1946 to Otto Winkelman and Janie Scarlett Winkelman. She received her Angel Wings in the comfort of her own home on April 21, 2022. She was 75 years old. Julie is survived by one sister, Judy Winkelman Brown (Larry) of Pine Bluff; children - Robert O. Weaver (Donna Carol); Donna Rae Shelton; Anna Weaver; and Allen Weaver all of Pine Bluff. She is also survived by her grandchildren – Robert O. Weaver, Jr. (Lesley); Ryan Weaver; Ashley Weaver; Kelly Dorrough, Kameron Dorrough, Kayla Dorrough all of Pine Bluff and Ambur Lloyd of Paragould and her great grandchildren – Jaidyn Lloyd of Paragould; Gunner Weaver, Charlie Weaver, Levi and twin brother Wyatt Weaver and Karli Dorrough, as well as a nephew Steven Brown (Allison) and great nephew Holdyn Brown all of Pine Bluff; several cousins, sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Ray Weaver to whom she was married for 50 years; son Albert Ray Weaver, Jr. and granddaughter Brittney Lloyd. She leaves behind many friends to cherish her memory.
Julie was a 1964 graduate of Dollarway High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She started her working career at Farmers Tractor & Equipment a John Deere dealership where she worked for 17-1/2 years. She then went to work for McKennon Implement a John Deere dealership in Dumas where she worked for 38 years before retiring. She was highly respected by her customers for her knowledge of what parts they needed to fix their tractors, combines, and other equipment. They often called her "John Deere Julie".
God blessed Julie with many talents such as cooking, canning, and crafting. She loved decorating jean jackets and t-shirts with lace, sequins and paint. She also loved making flower arrangements and wreaths. Julie and her sister, Judy, formed a gift basket business (J & J Exclusives LLC) and made hundreds of gift baskets and snack packs. Julie was a talented decorator and loved making the flower arrangements and wreaths for the church. She would decorate for any occasion and enjoyed doing it. Julie also loved to cook and feed everyone. If you were hungry or just visiting at her house, she would open her kitchen and fix you a plate, especially on Sundays. She never told a person NO if they wanted to eat. Julie loved helping people and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed mowing grass and trimming her crepe myrtle trees. Julie will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Christian Life Church, 23 Starlite Cove, Pine Bluff, AR. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Life Church. Brother Don Herring will be officiating the service and arrangements will be through Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank her ICU nurses at JRMC especially Ben, Donna, Shelly, Brooke, Kelly, Michelle, Drew and Morgan along with Dr. Godbole and staff and Dr. Edwards. Also, we would like to thank all of her family and friends for their prayers and thoughtful words throughout the past nine months. We will be forever grateful to you. With all our love, the Weaver Family.
