Juliet Shaw Mahoney

Juliet Shaw Mahoney, 95, passed away November 27, 2025. A native to Leesburg her entire life, yet she was born February 7, 1930 in the new hospital in Orlando, Florida. After graduating from Leesburg High School in 1948, she attended Stephens College for women in Columbia, Missouri, where she earned her Associate of Arts Degree in 1951.

Juliet married the love of her life, James R. "Jim Bob" Mahoney Jr. in 1953 once he returned from the Korean War. For years she worked for Sun Bank on Main Street, Leesburg holding different positions. Most remember her as a teller because of her pleasant demeanor and warm, friendly personality.

Juliet is preceded in death by her husband, James R. "Jim Bob" Mahoney Jr., son James R. "Rob" (Lori) Mahoney III, and daughter Juleigh M. (Steve) White. She is survived by her son G. Michael (Melissa) Mahoney, four grandchildren, Bryan, Joe, Ashley and Nikki as well as 6 great grandchildren.

A service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg on Monday, December 8th at 11am with the burial to follow at Lone Oak Cemetery, Leesburg, FL
