Eugene Lamar "Geno" Elton

Eugene Lamar Elton, "Geno", age 71, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at his home in Leesburg, Fl. Born June 6, 1953, to Edgar Elton and Mary Jo Richardson Oldigis. Gene is survived by brother Edgar (Jerry) Elton, sister-in-law, Karyl, and nephew Logan Elton (Casie), of Fruitland Park. Loving cousins include Mark Richardson (Melissa) Marietta, Ga., "Bubba" Richardson, (Connie), Vidalia, Ga., Sue Jinks (Tommy) of Jacksonville, Fl., and LaMerle Flach (James) of Mt. Dora, Fl. A proud graduate of Leesburg High School Class of 1972, Gene loved football, (particularly the Florida Gators), playing the guitar, fishing and golf. He will be greatly missed by his classmates and close friends. The service will be held in the Juanita Gregg Family Life Center, Bldg. 3 at Morrison United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Stauffer, Officiating.
