Ann-Marie Sokolowski of 3819 St Emma Ct, Leesburg FL 34748, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died in faith on October 2, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 15, 1939, Ann-Marie was married to John J Sokolowski from New Britain, CT who recently passed on May 10, 2025. They were married November 5, 1960, for 64 years. Ann-Marie began a career as a legal secretary for the private practice of Governor Abe Ribicoff and simultaneously performed as a professional singer. She made her television debut on CBS Studios, "Name that Tune," where she performed and participated as a contestant. She received a full-time contract to sing for the studio but politely declined in order to devote herself to her future husband and family. Ann-Marie and John were home builders and she established herself as a professional decorator through those endeavors. Ann-Marie and John started a number of businesses but finally found their niche in "The Floor Shoppe and Decorating Center" in Bristol, CT. Ann-Marie's greatest joy, however, was her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Lauri Fink and John Sokolowski Jr, who remember her as a nurturing and supportive presence in their lives. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to her five grandchildren, Ashley Hecker, John Sokolowski III, Paul Vinci, Daniel Sokolowski and Luke Vinci, showering them with affection, wisdom, and wonderful adventures that only a loving grandmother could foster. Ann-Marie is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Ann-Marie was a follower of Jesus Christ for much of her life and was quick to speak of her faith to others to edify, encourage and exhort them in like manner. Ann-Marie currently resides in Glory next to John and worships at the Throne of Jesus Christ. Ann-Marie's memorial will be private and only with close family. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family would kindly ask that you offer your prayers in support of grieving the loss of our beloved Ann-Marie.
