Julio Ramos

Julio Angel Ramos Egurbida 53, born February 2, 1971, to the late Juan Ramos and Beatriz Egurbida, passed away on Monday,January 27, 2025, in Waterbury, CT.
Julio spent part of his early years in Camuy, Puerto Rico, where he attended middle school before returning to Connecticut. He graduated from Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, specializing in electrical work. Over the years, he built a career as an electrician and cable TV installer, working for Comcast and the Southern Connecticut I.B.E.W. union. In addition to his electrical work, Julio was also skilled in computer repair and technology.
A man of many talents, Julio was a true handyman who could build and repair nearly anything in a home. He had a passion for video games, puzzles, and science fiction, horror, and medieval movies. He also enjoyed reality shows, particularly The Challenge, Survivor, The Amazing Race, The Traitors, and Naked and Afraid. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. Julio had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. His beloved pets, Papito and Zoey, held a special place in his heart, and he had a soft spot for all dogs. He also enjoyed gardening and planting, as well as sitting by a bonfire on a cool evening. While he famously hated vegetables, he had a deep love for cooking, with buffalo wings being one of his favorite foods. His favorite restaurant was Massimo's Pizzeria in Bridgeport, where he formed close friendships with the owners. More than anything, Julio was known for his kind and affectionate nature. He never hesitated to give a hug to anyone who needed one and was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and neighbors. He was deeply attentive to the well-being of those around him, offering support in any way he could. Growing up in the Pentecostal church, he carried a strong sense of peace and avoided conflict, always striving to be a peacemaker.
Julio is survived by his four siblings; Emely Ramos, Maria Ramos, Maria de los Angeles Quintero, and Michael Quintero. He was preceded by his brothers German Muniz and James Quintero. Julio leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Julio will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others will live on in the memories of those he touched.
