Julius was known first and foremost as a son of God. His firm and unshakable faith in God, guided him all throughout his life. In spite of surviving the horrors of WWII, living life as a refugee across europe, immigrating to the United States at 15, Julius never wavered in knowing that his savior was with him. Julius always lived with one foot in heaven while the rest of him lived life here as a dedicated husband and father to his five children. His life was blessed abundantly with the gift and love of music shared by playing trumpet in the brass choir and singing in the choir at church. He shared his love of music in his later years by learning the mountain dulcimer, playing in local dulcimer groups and later even by handcrafting his own dulcimers for himself and others. His love of music was shared and taught to all of his children with loving memories of falling asleep to the sounds of him playing on his guitar. Julius taught himself Spanish to add to the languages that he collected throughout his life. His loving, gentle nature was instantly appreciated and loved by all those who met him. His measured, quiet strength and unwavering love of Christ is his legacy that he would be most proud of to be cherished by his family and friends.
