Julius Hankton Sr.

Julius Hankton Sr., left his earthly dwelling on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the age of 33.
Julius was born on December 5, 1989 to Sharon Hankton(Gregory) and Alan Addison(Shaniqual) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Julius found the Lord at a young age. He was baptized at Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church by the then Pastor Karl V. Perry, Sr. While there he was the Captain of the drill team and a member of the youth choir. He was also a star football player for Harrell Park.
Julius had a big heart and would be the first one there if you needed him. He may have fussed about it, but he would always come through. Julius enjoyed laughing, telling stories, and spending time with his family and friends. He would always greet you with that wide smile and some endearing name that he personalized just for you. Everyone he left in this world is sad that he is gone, but happy that he is free.
Julius leaves cherished memories to his parents Sharon Hankton(Gregory) and Alan Addison(Shaniqual); grandmother Carolyn Armstead Hankton; aunts Hulette Hankton and Gayla Snowton; uncles Sidney Hankton, Clarence Johnson, Jr, and Larry and John Addison; siblings Jasmine Coleman(Chris), Allen Patterson, Janai Hankton, and Kazi Addison; loving children Julius Hankton, Jr. and Cassidy and Cameron Adams; nieces MaKayla Brown and Aidan and Carsyn Williams; godson Ivan Harrison, Jr., along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Hubert Hankton, Sr., Nora Lee Addison, and Walter Bates; aunts Dorothy Addison, Cora Graham, and JoAnn Thatcher; uncles Hubert Hankton Jr., Robert, Jerry, and Kim Addison.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, July 1, 2023, 10 a.m., at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church 5919 Morrison Rd., NOLA with Rev. Dr. Reginald Varnado Sr., officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
