Julius Powell Obituary
Mr. Powell was born on August 28, 1941 to the late Julius Powell and Ella Rea Errington Powell. He was an all-star athlete and received a football scholarship to Mississippi State University. He worked for Yellow Freight for many years.
Mr. Powell was very committed to his church and community where he formerly served as Alderman. He was a longtime member and deacon at Georgetown Baptist Church, and he was a member of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Stephens (Daniel Lee), and Amy Lynn Morris (Tim); brothers, Jim Powell (Ann), and Luther Lynn Powell (Amenda); nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
