June Marie (Piland) Causey of Blytheville, Arkansas peacefully passed away May 30, 2024, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas at the age of 90.
She was born in Piggott, November 7, 1933, the only daughter of Bowman and Olive Piland. June married Donald Rex Causey of Piggott on January 16,1951. They were each other's lifelong companions and best friends.
They were blessed with four children, Gerald, Kenneth, Susan and Sandra.
She accepted Christ at a young age and working in the church was a big part of her life. She and her family were charter members of the Fairview Baptist Church in Blytheville, Arkansas where she faithfully attended until she was physically unable. June was employed for many years at the Sears store in Blytheville until her retirement. She was also an incredible cook. Anyone who visited the Causey home got to sample her delicious food. She loved to travel, garden and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Harold Piland and her daughter Sandra. She leaves behind two sons, Gerald Causey of Claremore, Oklahoma and Kenneth Causey of Owasso, Oklahoma, and one daughter, Susan Howard of Blytheville, Arkansas. Five grandchildren, Sarah Causey, Lydia Howard, Claire Howard, Dora Causey-Wilson, and Kenneth D. Causey. Also, one great grandson, Isaiah Wilson. The family would also like to thank the staff at General Baptist Nursing Home for
their exemplary care during our mothers stay there.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jack Cole officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas.
