Gary Wofford, 80, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by family in Piggott, Arkansas.

He was born on August 6, 1945, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Donald and Vada (Kerley) Wofford.

Gary was united in marriage to Dian Johnson on May 30, 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Vada Wofford; brother, Ed Wofford; and sister, Vern Stewart.

Gary enjoyed raising cattle, reading, and watching the sunset. He was a long time member of the UAW.

Gary is survived by his wife Dian Wofford; six sons, Robert (Dee) Wofford of Rector, Arkansas, Todd (Ronda) Wofford of Rector, Arkansas, Jon (Kendra) Wofford of Marion, Illinois, Jeff (Intissar) Wofford of Washington, D.C., Darrell (Hope) Burns of Piggott, Arkansas, Delane (Tobey) Burns of Piggott, Arkansas; 19 Grandchildren; 16 Great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Wofford; two sisters, Jacques Millette and Monnie Eldridge; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Richard Benson officiating. Pallbearers will be Brett Burns, Chris Burns, Josef Burns, Ethan Burns, Kenneth Blackmon, and Nick Wofford. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
