Mrs. June Hall Cozart, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 29th, at 11 AM, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church officiated by Rev. John Porter Acee. A private family entombment will be held in Pinewood Memorial Park.

A native of Durham County, Mrs. Cozart was born to the late Travis and Ruth Tilley Hall on March 26, 1938. She was a graduate of East Carolina College (now East Carolina University). After marrying her late husband, William Carlton "Bill" Cozart, Jr., they first made their home in Greenville and then moved to several places with his work but eventually returned to Greenville. She was a longtime member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and also attended Oakmont Baptist Church.

June will be fondly remembered for her love of family. She was an avid bridge player who played with a number of groups and had achieved the Life Master in Bridge designation. She was a member of the Service League of Greenville and several book clubs. June never met a stranger and she truly loved people. Her second home in Emerald Isle was her favorite place. Many happy family times were spent there. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, June will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton "Bill" Cozart, Jr. in 1999.

She is survived by Daughter, Carol C. Vitte and husband, Richard; Son, William C. Cozart, III and wife, Cindy, all of Greenville;

Grandchildren, Christopher Cozart and wife, Melanie, of Raleigh, Elizabeth Cozart, Catherine Vitte and Emily Vitte, all of Greenville; Great-grandchildren, Madison Cozart and Sophie Cozart, both of Raleigh; Sister-in-law, Sara Cozart of Emerald Isle;

Niece, Karen Cozart Vaughan and husband, John, of Carolina Beach; and Nephew, Tom Cozart and Phil Lee of Queens, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 107 Louis St, Greenville, NC 27858.
