June Evans

June Evans, age 76, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 6, 1949 in Michigan City, IN to Raymond Henry and Nina Pearl (Eaton) Fogus who preceded her in death. June married the love of her life, Gene Carson Evans who has also preceded her in death. June is survived by her children, Donna (Mark) Stooksbury, Jack Evans Sr., Eric (Sam) Evans, and Yvonne (Kris) Lowe; grandkids, Felicia Baker, Caitlin Stooksbury, Jacky Evans Jr., Kristin Lumley, Gracie Lowe, Kylie Lowe, and Bradley Stooksbury; great grandchildren, Kendrick Williams, Ka'trell and Khalil McLemore; siblings, John Fogus, Dale (Shirley) Fogus, Janet (Bill) Cosby, Kevin (Terri) Fogus, and Judy (Tim) Eldridge; and sister in law, Debbie Fogus. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Robert Baker Jr.; Brother and sister in law, Jack and Brenda Fogus, brother, Jim Fogus; sister in law, Pat Fogus; and special friend, Dale Crane. June will be remembered as a woman who was always on the go and was a busy body. Some of her favorite joys were crocheting and she loved to travel. Above all else, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them and taking pride in each of their lives. She was a devoted, longtime member of the Full Gospel Church, where her faith guided her daily and shaped the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew her. Expressions of sympathy may be made be in June's honor directly to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Friends may visit with the family at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 pm. with Pastor Paul Pickens, officiating. Interment will follow at Springville Cemetery in LaPorte.
