June Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fir Lane Memorial Park, Funeral Home, Chapel & Crematorium on Jan. 6, 2026.
June Evans (Dollahite) was born June 12th 1938 in Johnson City TX to Edwin and Annie Dollahite. June started life on her family farm with two sisters Jerry and Jonell. In high school she went to live with her Aunts Alta and Clara so she could finish out school in a familiar place. She worked as a soda jerk while in high school, and a friend introduced her to the charming and Elvis like Roy Evans whom she ended up marrying on August 31st 1956. Their daughter Deborah was born August 1958. They then traveled with the military which sent them to multiple places within the US and Japan which is where their son Robert was born in April of 1961. June and Roy settled down in Washington State to raise their kids only traveling for Roy's trainings. When the kids were grown they moved to Fredericksburg Texas for a few years and then on to Sun City West Arizona. Eventually they came back to Washington. During their time in Washington June worked at a fabric store and then a bank. She had many talents consisting of sewing, crocheting and navigating them safely around on their road trips. She was the leader of Debbie's girl scout troop for a number of years. She loved camping with all of her friends and when they lived in Arizona they were part of "The Big Wheels" jeeping club where they went on off-road adventures, and yes she even drove! She was also involved heavily with genealogy, and loved making sure she had plenty of pictures of everything and if you were ever around them then you can pretty much guarantee there is a picture of you somewhere tucked away in boxes with loving details written on the back. She had many friends, each of them so special to her. She loved the Lord and attended the local United Methodist Churches whenever they moved.
She loved being involved with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids and all of their activities.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Hansen(Eric Hansen), Robert Evans(Jennifer Sievers). Grandchildren: Stephanie Bartlett(Nathaniel Bartlett), Kyle Hansen, Chasity Aistrope (Brett Aistrope) and 7 Great Grandchildren.
