Thelma June Farthing, age 95 of Odin, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Odin Health and Rehab Center.
June was born on October 21, 1929, in Odin, the daughter of Charles Fredrick Luttrell and Grace (Harvil) Luttrell. She married Don Farthing, on October 21, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Arnold and husband Barry of Johns Creek, GA; two grandsons, Brad Arnold and wife Mu of Las Vegas, NV and Dylan Arnold of Atlanta, GA; sister, Wanda "Blackie" Gillis of Odin, IL; and sister-in-law, Darlene Luttrell of Atlanta, IL; and many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
June was a member of Evergreen Christian Church. June worked for the USPS until retirement. She worked in the Odin Post Office for many years and later transferred to the Salem Post Office. June and Don travelled all over the world, visiting many countries in Europe, China and all of Southeast Asia. June enjoyed baking and cooking, she baked dozens of cookies, cakes and pies each week that she enjoyed sharing with family members, friends, and her church family.
Funeral Services for June Farthing will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Shannon Bopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Memorial contributions can be made to Evergreen Christian Church and can be received at the funeral home. Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
