I have so many good memories from Whitewater High School (the old one now gone) with June. We graduated together in 1947. We had good times when we could go to lunch at the Goal Post and I have pictures of our little group of friends on the steps at school. I remember having dinner at her house when her father asked if my father was a mail man. I said no and that amused her father as he was joking and meant "male" man. We did get together in Milton Junction at the Family Restaurant once a month in much later years. Thanks to my sister who lives up north and follows the Whitewater Banner for telling me about June. The picture you chose is a perfect remembrance of her.

Something I will always remember about June is her smile and kindness. I was very fortunate and a privilege to check on her and help care for her at Mulberry Glenn. She made me feel better about myself and others I'm sure. May you RIP June and my deepest sympathy and condolences to your whole family.

My 1st meeting with June Bug was even before I met her 4 amazing boys. I had to take an Observation/Participation class at Franklin Middle School while I attended UW-Whitwwater. Nervous and never been in front of a class before I had to check in at the office everything I went. That's when I met June and she calmed me down and got me to relax. That was an undeserved act of kindness from a complete stranger. Her words "you're going to be great and if you need anything just come see me." Who knows how many lives lives she changed with her golden heart. Truly one of a kind person.
