June E. Green 82, of Evansville, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 18, 2011. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation as a reading tutor. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and the Golden Girls. June enjoyed crocheting, tole painting, and sewing. June is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald W. Green, sons Donald R. Green and wife Rebecca of Lynnville, Robert W. Green and wife Cindy of Mt. Vernon, and David B. Green and wife Kathy of Evansville, grandchildren, Donald (D.R.) Brent, Ryan, Daniel, Neil, Allison and Samantha Green, Kelly Oxley, and Matthew Brothers, 14 great grandchildren, brothers, Elton Veralrud of Carlsbad, NM, and Melvin Veralrud, Jr. of Castle Rock, WA, sisters, Melvina Corbit of Grafton, ND, and Jean Johnson of Mesa AZ, and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Vista Care Hospice for their loving care. Visitation will from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Robert Hetzel officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Rescue Mission, 300 S.E. Martin Luther King Blvd, Evansville, IN 47713, or Vista Care Hospice, 323 Metro Ave., Evansville, IN 47715. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com
