June McDorman

LIMA -- June Marie McDorman, age 92 of Lima, passed away at 1:53 a.m., Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Springs of Lima.

She was born September 10, 1933, in Lima, to John Philip and Thelma Josephine (Bressler) Stelzer who preceded her in death. On October 9, 1954, she married Wilbur Russell McDorman who preceded her in death on June 15, 2010.

Surviving are their children: Pamela (Steve) Sutter of Findlay, Terri (Kenneth) Custer of Elida, Doug (Christine) McDorman and David Wilbur (Kelli) McDorman both of Elida; grandchildren: Christa (Lance) Burgess, Ryan Badertscher, Tyler Badertscher, Matthew (Molly) Neal, Mitchell (Claire) Neal, Amanda (Anthony) Kuhn, Travis (Katherine) McDorman, Dylan (Janelle) McDorman, Cameron McDorman, Calvin McDorman, Clayton McDorman, Colton McDorman, Emily Neidemire and Robert Neidemire, 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a sister-in-law, Janet Sawmiller of Lima.

She is preceded in death by her brothers: Donald Stelzer, Gale Stelzer and Robert J. Stelzer; grandsons: Brian McDorman, Wayne Custer and Shane Fetter; and great-grandchildren, Laken Woolum and Raelynn McDorman.

June was a 1951 graduate of Lima Central High School. She had been employed in the human resources department and customer service areas in many local companies, including: Westinghouse, JCPenney, Scot Lad/Roundy's, Allan Nott and Superior Metals. She was a member of VFW Aux. Spencerville Post 6772 & their Clown Unit and a Lifetime member of the American Legion. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, bowling, snowmobiling and golfing.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, at with Mike Meeker to officiate the service. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be at Thursday, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
