Justin Michael Barton, of Bismarck, MO, entered into rest on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the age of 48 years, 10 months, and 19 days. He was born April 25, 1976, a son of Lana and Duwaine Kniess, Jr. who survive. Also surviving are three sisters, Heather Kniess of Illinois, Megan Griffiths and husband Brandon of Park Hills, MO, and Leah Oder and husband Adam of Park Hills, MO; seven nieces and nephews, two great-nephews, one great-niece, and many more loving family members and friends.
After graduating from Special Acers, Justin went on to work for Mineral Area College in the Janitorial department where he made many friends and enjoyed speaking with and helping all the students and staff. He knew the value of hard work and was not afraid to get his hands dirty. He also loved going to church and church parties and events, enjoyed watching the Three Stooges, COPS, all kinds of game shows, and Special Olympics Bowling events. He loved spending time at Camp Wonderland in the Ozarks, going out to eat, spending time at the Elks with his family where he was crowned Prom King, spending time listening to Garth Brooks and Alabama, teasing people and being teased in return, and just loving life with his family and friends by his side. He had the best personality of anyone, and could make the darkest day seem a little brighter. The world is less without Justin, but his memory and love will be remembered and shared by all who were blessed to know and love him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am, from the Iron Mountain First Baptist Church.
A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, beginning at 5:30 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm, from the Iron Mountain First Baptist Church.
Interment will follow the services in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bismarck, MO.
Rev. John Canterberry will be officiating the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Wonderland in Justin's honor. Memorials may be sent to:
Camp Wonderland 18591 Miller Cir, Rocky Mount, MO 65072
