Justin L. Linnebur

It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Justin Linnebur, 82 of Morehead, Kansas.  

Justin was born July 28, 1943 to John and Marie Linnebur. 

He graduated from Cherryvale High School and then attended college in Independence, Kansas.

Justin was united in marriage with Margaret Sandbothe on May 8, 1970. They shared 55 years together.

Justin's life centered around hard work.  Before he retired he had previously worked for the State of Kansas, Precision Products, Jencast and Halliburton.

Surviving to honor his memory is his wife Margaret Linnebur of the home, his children, daughter Janet Fosnight and husband Larry Blackburn, and two sons Kevin Linnebur and Brian Linnebur.  Grandkids, Brandon Hester, Dillon Linnebur, Dalton Fosnight, Beth Ballew, Hanna Hockett, Bryson Linnebur and Ashlee Linnebur.  Great grandkids Braelynn Hester, Ashten Hester, Brantley Hester, Kota Hare, Avah Linnebur, Sarah Ballew, Ryatt Ballew, Turk Hockett, Rowen Hockett and Karsyn Hockett.  Siblings include three brothers, Eldon Linnebur and wife Carolyn, Shelby Linnebur and wife Karen, Leon Linnebur and wife Kathy. Two sisters, Doris Scism and Marilyn Saffle.

Justin was preceded in death by his parents John and Marie Linnebur, a brother Melvin Linnebur, a sister Ann Williamson, a nephew Travis Linnebur, and a niece Robin Linnebur.

Cremation has taken place and Rosary followed by Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am Saturday September 6, 2025 at St. Francis Xaviers Catholic Church with Father Zachary Piniare Celebrant.
