With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Justin Reffner who left us way to soon at the age of 42 on March 11, 2025. Born to Jack & Jeannie Reffner on January 10, 1983. Justin was raised in Sherwood, Arkansas, where he built a life full of laughter, friendships, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

A proud Sylvan Hills High School alum, Justin was an incredible athlete who excelled at anything involving a ball – football, baseball, soccer and softball. He made it look effortless. As an All-State linebacker, he played with a natural talent that was as impressive as it was inspiring. But his greatest gift was his ability to bring people together. His family and friends recall his constant laughter and jokes, often at inappropriate times, making even the toughest moments a little lighter. Especially during a battle with cancer.

After graduating from UALR, Justin worked as a Senior Project Manager at PC Hardware, LCC. Justin adored his wife, Jennifer, who was not only his partner in life but his best friend. He found endless joy in cracking jokes with their daughter, Chloe, and took immense pride in coaching their son, Brock, in various sports. Even through cancer treatment, he was always there – supporting, encouraging and loving them with everything he had.

A die-hard Razorback fan, Justin loved nothing more than cheering on the Hogs, whether at home or on the road with friends. Sports were a huge part of his life, but even bigger was the love he had for his family and the friendships he built along the way.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Iva & Jim Bachus and Helen & Sherman Reffner, Jamye & Kenneth Carter,  and Bill & Lois Guess, brother-in-law Chad Bennett, as well and an infant brother, Chad.

Justin’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him most, his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Chloe; his son, Brock; his parents Jack and Jeannie; his sister, Lisa Johns and her husband, Brad; his niece and nephew, Gabbi and Carson Johns. His in-laws, Gary and Dana Guess; grandparents Bob and Darlene Dillon; sisters in law Brittani (Michael) Price, and Emily (Nathaniel) Bradley; nephews Spencer, Aidan, and Aaron Price; nieces and nephews Makenzie, Easton, Savannah, Paisley Bennett, and Hunter Bradley. And an incredible circle of friends who were more like family, his brothers. Along with their wives, affectionally called his “Sister Wives.” And, his bonus Mom, Michelle Price.

Justin was a jokester at heart, always the life of the party, and beloved by all who knew him. His quick wit, kind spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 PM Friday, March 14, 2025 at Sherwood First Baptist Church. A celebration of Justin’s life will begin at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Justin’s honor to the Sylvan Hills Athletic Department, 484 Bear Paw Road, Sherwood, AR to support the next generation of athletes who share his passion for the game.

Justin’s family would like to say a special Thank You to Dr Devon Ballard, Dr Rhonda Gentry and the CARTI team, Dr Matthew Steliga Baptist ICU and Baptist Hospice Care for their exceptional care provided for Justin and our family the past three years.
