Justin Thomas Smith, 37, of Aston, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2022 at Penn Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his fiancé, Christina Gambrill, two daughters, Kayla Marie and Sophia Grace, parents, Steve and Joy Smith of Hebron, Maryland, a brother, Jordan (Rachel) Smith of Hebron, a sister, Jessica (Rob) Hill of Salisbury, five nieces and nephews, Jackson, Robby, Parker, Ruby, and Avery, Godparents Harold and Tami Brown of Hebron, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
He will be welcomed to Heaven by grandparents, James and Martha Quillen, and Gerald and Irene Smith, and uncle, Jimmy Quillen.
Justin was a machinist for New Way Air Bearings in Aston, Pennsylvania, and started his career path at places like MaTech, Pat's Aircraft, and ARCH Medical Solutions in Philadelphia. He studied Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Wor-Wic. Justin had many hobbies, most of which revolved around the outdoors, including surfing, body boarding, fishing, waterfowl hunting, deer hunting and turkey hunting, even competing in turkey calling contests.
As a child, Justin loved spending time at his Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Quillen's farm and Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Smith's farm, helping cut grass, riding in wheelbarrows and tractors, chasing chickens and spending time with the animals, which continued into his adulthood. Justin was a strong advocate for animal rescue, especially pit bulls, and believed that every dog deserved a second chance.
Justin leaves behind a legacy of hard work and loved being given the chance to provide for his family. Most of all, Justin loved spending time with his fiancé, Christina, and his two girls, Sophia and Kayla.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, Maryland, with a public viewing starting at 1:00 PM. Revered Paul Sherwood will be officiating. Internment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bobbie's Pit Bull Rescue & Sanctuary at P.O. Box 2466 in Spotsylvania, Virginia, [email protected], or the Wicomico County Humane Society at 5130 Citation Drive. in Salisbury, Maryland.
