Justin J. St. Ours

Justin J. St. Ours, 34, of Escanaba, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at home as a result of a genetic heart condition.
He was born on May 16, 1988 in Escanaba, the son of Thomas and Sandra (Jacques) St. Ours. Justin graduated from Escanaba High School and went on to attend Bay College and Eastern Michigan University, earning his bachelor's degree.
Justin worked at the Daily Press as the Sports Editor for the last three years.
He enjoyed playing video games, reading, studying, target shooting, and collecting knives. He also loved listening to country music and playing with his niece, Isabella.
Justin was a member of the Great Lakes Sports and Recreation Club and St. Thomas Church in Escanaba.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra St. Ours; sister, Sara (Mark) Nordin; niece, Isabella Nordin; grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Jacques; aunts and uncles, Donna Hardy, Lynn (Mick) Fortin, Judy (Dave) Royer, Wayne (Connie) Jacques, Ricky (Brenda) Jacques, Randy (Maryann) Jacques, Ron (Marcia) Jacques, Jodi (John) Rian, Diana (Rick) Aird, Amy (Randy) McKay, Tina (Jeff) Kobasic, and Debbie (Rob) Stanford; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Thomas St. Ours; paternal grandparents, Don and Pat St. Ours; maternal grandmother, Roberta Lou Jacques; and uncle, Don Hardy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba with Rev. Rick Courier officiating.
Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
