Justin Shane Ward, known affectionately as Justin to his friends and family, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Ballard, WV, after a life filled with love, laughter, and the great outdoors. Born on May 28, 1996, in Radford, Virginia, Justin's early years were steeped in the natural beauty of his surroundings, a passion for the environment that he carried throughout life.

Justin is survived by his loving wife, Haley McGuire Ward, with whom he built a life full of hope and shared dreams. Together, they are raising two wonderful children, Willow and Holden Ward, who were the light of Justin's life. His dedication to family was unparalleled, and he was a pillar of strength and love for them.

He leaves behind his father, Robert Allen Ward and his wife Jennifer Crockett Ward, as well as his mother, Jennifer Deane and her husband Joseph; his grandmother, Carolyn Adams; sister, Chelsey Ward; and nephew, Roman Givens, will forever cherish the memories they made together. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eldridge and Hannah Ward, whose values and love shaped Justin into the remarkable individual he was.

A true outdoorsman, Justin found solace in the serenity of nature. He was an avid fisher and hunter, pursuits that not only brought him peace but also allowed him to pass on his respect for nature to his children. Cooking was another of Justin's joys, and his family will dearly miss the delicious meals he lovingly prepared for them. His care for animals showcased his compassionate spirit. Above all, Justin was a great family man. His commitment to loved ones was his most defining trait.

There will be a private service held by the family to honor Justin's life at a later date. A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Ward family.
