This breaks my heart. Though we didn´t know each other well, his pure, sweet soul shown through whenever I saw at the vet and around the neighborhood. I always put a smile on my face. He will be greatly missed.

I enjoyed seeing him at the vet. I knew my pups were in good hands when Kai was there. He will be missed. - the Petersons

I was the new kid at Media Elementary in first grade. I was shy and nervous, unlike my brother (lol). Kai and I became best friends and I remember bonding over our love of animals (I always wanted to get rats after Kai showed me his, and still plan to get them to this day). I remember we learned about how to write letters/cards and how to send emails, and I sent my first ones to Kai. One time, I remember a "play date" at his house where we watched Ice Age (I believe) and then ate Sloppy Joes. Kai and I weren't ever as close as first grade, and I cherish that year. However, in high school, we were in orchestra together. Orchestra was a blast and I particularly remember our trip to Erie, PA and Niagra Falls. I will never not compare Wawa to Sheetz every time I go in there. I hope that Kai knew that even though we didn't talk very much in the last few years, he was an integral part of my childhood. I hope his close friends and family know that he meant and means a lot to me, and I am so glad I knew him. I always assumed I would see him at some random gathering or a reunion, and I will miss him every time that occurs from here on out. I wish I could speak to him one more time, and hear his laugh.

So utterly heartbroken to hear about this. I just wish I had more time to talk with him, he was such a pure, gentle soul. I´ll always remember how kind, thoughtful, and generous he was. One of the greatest gentlemen´s I´ve known. Kai, I miss you already, and I have so much faith that you´re in a better place. Iris and Kevin, Ian and Kaden, my sincerest condolences.
