ROSANN M. HAGGERTY
Rosann M. Haggerty, 90, passed away peacefully at Dunwoody Village Care Center in Newtown Square, Pa. on June 26. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher.
The daughter of Ignatius and Anna Pullekines, Rosann was born in 1935 in Schuylkill County, Pa. Her family moved to Delaware County during World War II, and she lived in the county for the rest of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) parish in Milmont Park from the time she attended grade school there until she moved to Glen Mills in 2009. She was married to John P. "Jack" Haggerty from 1958 until he passed away in 2017.
Rosann was graduated from Notre Dame High School in Media and received a Bachelor of Arts from Chestnut Hill College in 1957. She went on to become a teacher. At various times, she taught at two of her alma maters, Notre Dame and OLP. For several decades, she was a substitute junior high school and high school teacher at local public schools. She was also a CCD teacher at OLP, a Girl Scout leader, and a Cub Scout leader.
Rosann is survived by two sons, John (Geralyn) and Michael (Christine); three daughters, Maryann Haggerty (Keating Holland), Elizabeth Haggerty (David Stockel), and Rosemarie Ratvasky (Robert); and a granddaughter, Rebecca Ratvasky.
Family and friends are invited to attend Rosann's viewing on Wednesday July 2, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
