Kale Olson Obituary
Kale Tekla Olson, 15, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away in a fatal car accident Saturday, November 30, 2024. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. An additional celebration of life will be held in the spring in the Minneapolis area.
Kale was born July 31, 2009, in Fargo, ND. She was the daughter of Sarah Jones and Rick Olson. Kale was baptized at Minnesota Valley Lutheran Church in rural Louisburg, MN. She attended school in Moorhead, MN and Eden Prairie, MN.
Kale lived in Moorhead, Eden Prairie, and Minneapolis. An artist at heart, Kale’s crafty creations were nothing short of amazing. Kale loved books, Starbucks runs, and spending time with her best friends. Kale adored her little cousins and was always up for not just playing and crafting with them but also organizing their toys and clothes. Kale was quiet yet spirited. She brought light into everyone’s hearts.
Kale is survived by her father, Rick Olson. Grandparents Andrea Jones and John (Ronda) Jones. Great-Grandmother Delores Jones. Aunt Rachel Jones. Uncles Curtis (Melodie) Olson, Robert (Kim) Olson, and Mark (Kelly) Jones. Great-aunt, Mary (Charlie) Rumsey. Cousins Ashley (Griffin) Gjestvang, Finn Belknap, Rhys Belknap, Maggie Jones, and the highly anticipated Bernie Jones. Best friend and confidant Madelyn Ray. Kale is further survived by other cousins, relatives, and friends.
Kale was preceded in death by her Beloved Great-Grandparents Rolland and Nancy Moen and Donald Jones. Her grandparents, Ronald and Loretta Olson. Her mother, Sarah Thorine Jones, passed away with Kale in the same car accident.
Arrangements by Trinity Lutheran in Moorhead, MN. A service at Trinity will be held on January 4th, 2025 at 11:00am. Online guest book at www.wrightfuneral.com. A celebration of life will be held this Spring in the Minneapolis area to honor Sarah & Kale’s love of nature & sunshine.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to the Your Local Food Shelf or Favorite Animal Shelter.
