October 5, 1990 ~ January 21, 2026
Kamren (Kam) Shaun Seiling, 35, of
Columbia, Missouri, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026.
Kam was born on October 5, 1990, to Tony Seiling and Sherry Terrell in
Columbia, Missouri at Boone Hospital (Boone babies!).
He graduated from North Callaway High School in 2009.
Kam was a hard worker and jack of many trades but prior to his death, worked for the University of Missouri Campus Facilities in Landscape Services. Prior to working at the University, he worked at Midwest Clearance Center and Columbia Deck & Fence.
Kam was such a loving, energetic soul. He was the kindest, sweetest person you could ever hope to meet. He inherited his strength and quiet patience from Grandma Shauna. You'd be lucky to have him in your corner. He was loyal to the bone and would defend the honor of his family and friends at all costs.
He inherited a love of music from his mom, Sherry, and his Grandpa Jerry. Kam loved all genres, but especially hip hop, R&B, and a fire freestyle. He had an unreal ear for music the kind of gift that felt almost extraordinary. He didn't just hear music; he traced its lineage, its roots, its history, like he was following a thread only he could see. Kam had dummy freestyle skills (aka a master), you could have easily caught him court side at a beer pong table casually lighting up any contender in a rap battle and was known to get hyphee from time to time. His friends would call him Killa Kam or Killa for short. He loved everything that music represents – the emotion, the art of it, the message, the love, the community. There were few things in life that inspired Kam more than music, its ability to ignite the spirit and bring people together.
He inherited a love of animals from Grandma Connie. He loved dogs and cats but had a major soft spot for pit bulls. He was a lover of comedy, and was, himself a jokester, prankster, and wise cracker… a skill that served him well in his rap battles.
Kam was well known for his impeccable attention to detail and perfection. He accepted nothing but excellence, especially when he was inspired. It was a standard he didn't develop by accident; he learned it from his father, Tony, who lives by the same unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Watching his father work with such care and pride shaped Kam's own approach, and that legacy of precision became one of his defining traits. He had an uncanny talent for remembering sports statistics and player analytics. He could tell you about any Mizzou football player and exactly where they landed in their career, whether they went pro, transferred, or found success with another team. His memory wasn't just good; it was almost archival.
He carried a passion for creativity that was nurtured lovingly by his Grandpa Joe and Grandma Debbie. From countless crafts spread across kitchen tables to the quiet teaching moments shared during their travels together, they helped shape his curious mind and imaginative spirit. Those adventures big and small became some of the most treasured parts of his life, leaving him with a sense of wonder that he carried everywhere he went.
Kam was a connoisseur of crocs and Mizzou memorabilia, drinker of watered-down drinks (no ice in the water like Grandma Debbie), and collector of 90's nostalgia, including Pokémon cards, music records, and collection of Guiness Books of World Records.
In his free time, he could be found hunting morrells, hanging out with his brothers and reminiscing on life and good times.
Kam was extremely loyal to the people he loved most. His family meant the world to him, and he tolerated no disrespect against his loved ones. He has been known to go upside someone's head here and there when the occasion called for it (he takes after his dad, Tony, a bit… matter fact, add that to Sherry's side, too… it's a family trait).
He is survived by his large and loving (aka wild and crazy) family, including his mother Sherry Terrell (step-father Jason) and father Tony Seiling (step-mother Dawn), twin brother Kody Seiling (partner Jeff), Kyle Seiling (partner Ashli), Donovan Seiling, and several bonus brothers: Austin Terrell (wife Mckenzie), Garrett Terrell (fiancée Cheryl), Dylan Terrell (wife Mattie), and two new nephews Arlo Seiling and Callahan Terrell (who can count themselves lucky to have so many amazing and hilarious stories to hear about Uncle Kam), grandfather Jerry Nichols (partner Wanda), grandmother Shauna Hathman, and grandparents Joe and Debbie Seiling, Deb and Betty Terrell, Donovan and Dorthea Johnston and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong homies.
Proceeded in death by his beloved grandmothers Donna Nichols and Connie Nichols, and grandfather Dean Hathman. He was also proceeded by his furry son, Marley (aka Oogie), who was surely excited to have his papa back. He never was a very patient pup.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bach Yager Funeral Home in Columbia, with the service beginning at 12:00 PM. Lunch will follow at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Columbia. Those unable to attend the visitation or service are welcome to join us for lunch at The Eagles.
