Jay Seiling Obituary
ALBANY - Jay David Seiling, beloved son, husband, uncle, cousin, and friend entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2024. Jay was born in Albany on February 2, 1963 to the late John and Jennifer "Jill" (Wilson) Seiling. He married Lynda T. (Dings) Seiling on June 27, 2004. They shared many joyful times at Great Sacandaga Lake and travel adventures to Maine, Cape Cod, Nashville, and Florida. Jay loved the outdoors, music, and his pets. He cherished his nieces and nephews, and was proud of their accomplishments. Jay was an avid roller-skater, jet-skier, and car collector. He worked for Albany DGS, operating trucks, sweepers and snowplows.
Jay is survived by his devoted wife, Lynda; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jay's family on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, N.Y. Jay's funeral service will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Lodge St. and State St. in Albany, N.Y. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Bloomingrove Cemetery, North Greenbush, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Powerful Paws Animal Rescue, PO Box 338, Liverpool, N.Y. 13088, in memory of Jay Seiling.
The family thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff at NYOH, as well as St. Peter's Hospital and Hospice, who provided compassionate care during Jay's final days.
