Karen Lee Bleacher, 79, of Drumore, entered into rest on Friday, December 20, 2024, at her home. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Arden and Catherine (Fenstermacher) Lutz. She was the loving wife of James C.R. Bleacher for 58 years. Karen worked at the former Musser's Market in Quarryville for over 20 years. She was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, birdwatching and vacationing at the beach and in the mountains.
Karen is survived by 3 children: Lisa Marie Winger-Hartman, Kathy A. Waltman, and James A. Bleacher. Also surviving is a grandson, Brandon J. Bleacher. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur T. Winger and a son-in-law, Kenneth O. Waltman.
A Funeral Service will take place at True Gospel Baptist Church, 853 Scotland Rd., Quarryville, PA on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Roland officiating. There will be a viewing at the church from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be private.
Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
