Karen Buckland

Karen Buckland, cherished wife, mother, nana, sister, niece and friend, passed away July 13, 2025, at the age of 62, succumbing to her brave battle with cancer.
Karen was the loving rock of our family. She is survived by her husband Anthony (Tony), their children, Anthony Jr. (TJ), Bobbie and her husband Sean Murray, along with her granddaughters, Riley Joan and Maddie Frances.
She is also survived by her brother David Goodman, sister-in-law Cecile Goodman and niece Dylan. Sister, Lisa Goodman & brother-in-law Scott, niece Jessica Senderling, her husband Georgie and their daughter Avalee. Along with her dear Aunt Judy and husband Joe.
Karen attended Penn State's main campus which served as the foundation of her professional endeavors. Her career path was as diverse as her interests, including roles in optometry, medical billing/coding and sales. Her intelligence and dedication to work was evident to all who had the pleasure of working alongside her, no matter the profession.
Karen had a love for dining out followed by a good TV show! She loved to 'go grab a bite' and talk shows with loved ones. An avid Phillies fan, Karen was known to root for her team through all of their ups and downs. Her hobbies reflected her incredible personality. She was extremely talented and loved to crochet! She did Zumba 4 nights a week and never missed an episode of Judge Judy!
Karen's life was one of love, strength, and laughter. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories shared by those who knew her best. She leaves behind a legacy of the lives touched by her generosity, warmth and love and a community simply enriched by her presence. Her granddaughters, Riley and Maddie were the light of her life and she cherished every moment with them. She especially loved teaching them old camp songs! Karen's spirit will continue to guide and inspire forever. She will be profoundly missed.
To quote one of her favorite movies, Gone with the Wind, 'after all, tomorrow is another day'.. Karen wouldn't want us to be sad, so we will enjoy small moments, laugh and think of her often. We will love and miss you forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend Karen's visitation on Monday July 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Private Interment.
