She was born and raised in Downers Grove, IL where she met and married the late Earl Roger Collier, Jr. and relocated to Blacksburg, VA in 1984. She is survived by her three children, Leslie Collier, Brad Collier, and Cheryl (Eddie) Parsons; 5 grandchildren Erin, Michael, Megan, and Alexis Collier and Justin Scott; 4 great-grandchildren; and her two brothers Norbert and Raymond (Susan) Screbant.
Funeral services will be conducted at St Mary's Church in Blacksburg, VA on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Karen and I became friends at St. Mary of Gostyn church in Downers Grove. I remember sitting at Karen's kitchen table copying a recipe or two from her collection. She was a great cook and I still make a couple of those recipes all these years later. Karen had a very strong connection with our Lord and it was definitely contagious to those of us in the "small faith group" we shared. I will always pray for Karen's spirit.
