Karen had such a happy, infectious personality that you couldn´t help but feel better just being around her. She loved her kids, Kyle and Michelle, and her face lit up even more when she talked about her grandkids. It was an honor to have been a small part of her life, because it only took a short time with Karen to realize the positive impact she could have on you. She will be deeply missed by her family and so many friends. I´ve always believed that grief is a blessing. If we are grieving it means we´ve loved deeply and felt that same love, if not more, in return. Kyle and Michelle, please know the best parts of her continue to live on through you and everyone who knew her and you two will be extensions of both of your parents that you will share with your kids and future grandkids. God bless you both and my sincerest condolences.

Karen was my oldest friend. We met in Sunday School in NPB when we were 8. We were in Girl Scouts together. We were in each other´s weddings. We talked for hours on the phone because we have lived in different states for years, and our birthdays were only 2 days apart.
Karen was so loving and had an infectious smile that lit up the room. She loved her family and her God. She overcame a lot in her life but always kept her faith, which was so important to her. I lost a huge part of my heart when I lost her, but I know we will see each other again one day.
Michelle, JP, Kyle, Ashley, Connor, Landon, Renee and Nora, she loved each of you so much and was planning on taking y´all on another cruise, because she loved being with you on the Disney Cruise this year. Each of you are in my prayers. Kathy, you are too.
Much love,
Martha (Camp Baker) Richard

From the moment Karen and I met 7 years ago we hit it off like macaroni & cheese. She often said I reminded her of a deceased bestie of hers named Ravi. Together we shared the ups & downs of our lives, as we kayaked, or walked the beach or dined out or visited art shows, saw movies and plays, shared books, shopped and laughed till we cried. Her unique hearty laugh is what I´ll miss most about her. Gosh she was a lot of fun. We "nursed" & supported each other thru a lot of hard stuff too: Car accidents, falls, various surgeries, putting pets down and most brutally the devastating good-byes to loved ones as we tried to carry each other to a new normal. Karen, I love you & TY for being a beyond wonderful friend. I will miss you the rest of my life. RIP until we meet again..... PS. I´ll find you in heaven by following the sound of that contagious laugh of yours! Godspeed.

I did not know Karen for long. I do know that she was a dynamic, welcoming, loving and warm woman! I first met her a year ago and she was one of those "rare" people you can just start talking to like you had known her forever! I believe that is very rare! I was very very sad to hear about her passing. My prayers are for her kids and grandkids. Heaven SURELY gained an angel and I wish I could have known her better.

I can remember when i first met Karen. She shared about being a nurse and boy did that fit. She was always thinking and helping others and always had a smile on her face. I thank you for those things and your compassion with others. I´m so sorry for your family. I´m sending Love & prayers. Michelle Johnson

Karen was a beacon of light to so many who knew and loved her. She always greeted me with a smile and a hug that you could feel the love from. We used to tease each other about who was the proudest grandma. I am blessed to of known her and to call her my friend. I will never forget her
