Obituary

Dmitrius DuPont was known by many names, 'Doodle', Deej, Big Sexy and DJ. DJ was born October 3rd, 2012 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Whitney DuPont and Sidjor DuPont. DJ was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy at birth. DJ's care was followed by The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was most known for his smile, music parties with mom and favorite cartoon character Curious George. DJ endured many medical interventions over the years, however that did not break his joyful spirit or the love he spread to everyone he encountered. DJ will forever be remembered for his endurance, his laugh and ability to brighten everyone's day, whether it be with a dance, a hand to hold or occasionally bite. His favorite foods were Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly, pediasure and peanut butter crackers.

DJ attended school regularly beginning in preschool at The Overbrook School of the Blind, later attending Thomas Mifflin Elementary School, then Thurgood Marshall Elementary.

Dmitrius is survived by his mother Whitney DuPont, father Sidjor DuPont, God mother Shay Pressley. His siblings Sidjor 'Sumo' Jackson, Antwione Jackson, Cameron. His aunts and uncles; 'Dmitrius' Jackson, Antoinette Jackson-Law, Mook Jackson-Law, 'Koashine' DuPont, Siderrieca DuPont, Tee Pressley, and Nia Pressley. His grandparents Niecy Johnson, Sidney Boseman, Arrieca Boseman, Kenneth Jackson, Tonya Johnson and Great grandmother Tonita Keith, with a host of beloved cousins 'Danni' Smith, 'Nee Nee' Smith, Gabby Borton and many many more, friends, classmates, teachers, and those that cared for him as his medical team.
