Karen Lynn Griffiths, 70, of Kent, passed away in her home on August 29, 2025. She was born in Akron on June 15, 1955 to Betty {Parks} Seymour and the late William Seymour.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; children Matthew (Rachael) Griffiths, Timothy (Erin) Griffiths and Joanna (Matt) Murphy; mother Betty Seymour; grandchildren Jackson and Rowan Griffiths, Brooklyn and Hewie Griffiths, Ezra, Iris and Emma Murphy; brothers Rob (Nancy) Seymour, Tom (Dale) Seymour and Steve (Christine) Seymour and their families.
Karen grew up in Tallmadge, and met the love of her life, Wayne Griffiths, in junior high school youth group at Mogadore Baptist Church. They married on May 23, 1975, and just celebrated 50 years together. She went on to nursing school, and served as an OB nurse and lactation consultant for 40 years at Summa Hospital.
In addition to her family and nursing, her passion in life was serving the Lord through ministering at church with teaching Bible studies and women's ministry by mentoring and counseling.
Karen's family was her pride and joy, and anyone who met her knew how much she fiercely loved and protected them. She enjoyed nurturing and caring for her children and grandchildren. Karen will be dearly missed, but her family rejoices in the knowledge that they will see her again.
