Karen Kay Hoberer, 68, of Gainesville, passed away October 15, 2025 in Gainesville. She was born November 10, 1956 in Gainesville. She spent her early years on a farm near Hood, TX. She graduated in 1975 from Lindsay High School.
Karen held several different jobs, including working for National Supply, Weber Aircraft (Safran), Boeing, and Peterbilt.
Mrs. Hoberer was preceded in death by her parents John Peter and Elizabeth Josephine (Arendt) Hoberer; sisters Joyce Nottingham, Sue Eades, Sara Cooper; brothers Gene Hoberer, Edwin Hoberer; sister-in-law Judy Hoberer.
Karen is survived by her daughter Jennifer; brothers John Hoberer, Larry Hoberer and wife Connie, Thomas Hoberer and wife Pam; sisters Barbara Wilmut, Judy Fuhrmann and husband James; sister-in-law Waynell Hoberer.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, October 24, 2025 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
